Thurs. Feb. 21 - Fundraiser Dinner, Play and Games
This fundraiser organized by the Daughters of St. Joseph, was to raise money to help the youth from our area that are traveling to World Youth Day and doing mission work in Fiji this summer. It was a beautiful evening, that all the family could enjoy and DID enjoy! Beyond the financial help to the WYD youth, it was an event that brought families together in a fun, community-oriented way and great opportunity for the girls to develop their wonderful dramatic talent. Congratulations, Daughters of St. Joseph! The Play: The Princess and the Apple, written by Sister Mary Catherine, in play that teaches a lesson about the True Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist in an allegorical way .... see the pictures for a little synopsis through the captions!

Welcome to the Daughters of St. Joseph, Port Hood Blog! This group for girls ages 9-17 (younger may join if requested) was
founded in Ontario
in August 2007 and in Port Hood, Nova Scotia in December 2007 by the
Sisters of Our Lady Immaculate
.
They wanted to form a group for girls to help them grow in their faith, have fun together and serve in the Church and community! We take St. Joseph as a spiritual father who will look after us and protect us from heaven, just as he looked after and protected Mary and Jesus during his lifetime on earth.
